Frank Lloyd Wright Collection® Barrel Replogle Globe Frank Lloyd Wright Collection®This globe stand is an adaptation of one of the most universally recognized furniture designs found in the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation archives. It is a modified version of the famous "Barrel Chair" originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1903 and modified for his personal use at "Taliesin" in Spring Green, Wisconsin and for Herbert F. Johnson for his home "Wingspread" in Racine, Wisconsin in 1937. The Barrel Chair Floor Globe features a 16"/40cm diameter bronze metallic raised-relief globe with beautifully blended earth-tone colors.
Frank Lloyd Wright, a famous architect (1867-1959),had an overall concept for his buildings to include the integration of the furniture and the decorative objects with the design of the buildings. Replogle Globes has been honored to produce a new line of globes adapted from select Frank Lloyd Wright drawings and concepts, chosen by Replogle Globes and authorized by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.
